Today Clive and I have been installing a Windows 8 pc to a client’s domain to test their custom software on Microsoft ‘s new operating system. We also tested the network printers and wrote a specification for our programmer for how the print macros will need changing.
It was a very successful test, allowing us to start to rewrite our site installation guide and to start to identify the issues we will need to support staff with as we roll out their new Windows 8 computers. It looks very different but as with all new operating systems once you get used to it, it does the job.
We are looking forward to getting the best out of this new software and helping our clients work with it.
