Clive’s weekly Cyber Security roundup

This is a weekly round-up of the articles from Smart Thinking Solutions, our specialist cybersecurity, governance and compliance web site.

The articles are mostly quick reads to give you an overview of the cybersecurity threat landscape facing businesses today, with links to the sources. Many of the posts have action points or top tips to help you navigate these threats to your organisations.

Sometimes they are just there to make you smile!

A variety of stories this week but probably one of the most important things is the news about the UK Governments IoT security law – The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Bill. A government minister is quoted that it is putting up a firewall for consumers – I am pretty certain it is not doing that (that minister needs a better tech advisor) but it is an huge step forward in increasing the cybersecurity of millions of less techie people.

One more thing. I just had to include this again from last Friday – it is a great story about technology – but I also really liked the ZX81 kit advert – I had one of those.
