Hack me if you can

Hack Me If You Can! What’s your excuse?

“I am too busy for cyber security.”

“It will never happen to me.”

“My organisation is too small for the hackers to bother with.”

“HMRC hacked for £42M because someone’s login was compromised.” FAKE NEWS!!!!

“Cyber security is hard – when I remember, I will get someone else to fix it for us.”

“We pay for anti-virus and Windows has a firewall.”

“Josephine in accounts deals with this.”

Do you have a coffee (or tea, or coke…) when you first get into work?

Hack Me If You Can webinar

What!

OK the last one was not an excuse but a question for you. If you do get a drink when you get into the office, reschedule that drink for 9.30am every other Wednesday and come along and learn a little about better cyber security. I will have you back at work before 10am.

Aims

The aim of the webinar series is to provide underpinning knowledge for owner managers, directors, trustees, senior decision-making managers and board members so they are equipped to make sensible decisions about their organisation’s cyber security.

Objectives

Each week I will take a cyber security topic and discuss the threats and risks around that topic and provide some easily implemented procedures to combat them.

The language will be (as far as possible) less technical – there will be opportunities for you to ask questions.

Topics

Among the topics we are going to be looking at are

Social engineering and phishing, MFA, credentials, incident response, business continuity and information management and security. The series will be starting off with encryption.

Here are the webinar titles – In no particular order:

Format

Starts 2 July 2025 at 9.30am (coffee time) then every two weeks. You have missed the first webinar live – but there will be a recording available to all of those who register.

20-minute online presentation with 10 minutes for questions at the end.

You will have an opportunity to email in questions.

If you have another reason for not attending…

…please contact me here and let me know. If, like me, you believe this will be a great investment of your time to fill in some cyber security blanks in your organisation then please register for the webinar below.

I am looking forward to joining you for coffee and sharing some cyber security insights with you.
