Most people would say yes, I have antivirus that comes with Windows, but what about your MS365 business platform, Is that secure also?
Here’s a scenario:
I login to my laptop as normal in the morning. Then for some reason someone logs in to my account from another country 10 seconds later. You are not likely to know this and even if you clicked that link last year and you forgot about it, someone could have your details. It is best practice is to make sure you have MFA enabled but even this has been known to be defeated. Our SOC (Security Operations Centre) can help monitor unfamiliar login patterns and take action to help mitigate further damage.
Has your computer actually updated?
Windows should automatically update your security to the latest version but if for some reason you have unwittingly downloaded a virus this can stop the process but display as if it has. This is where RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) comes in. It is a product that controls the best time to install the updates and makes sure that they are done. It also provides the ability to lock your devices down so that only remote control by us is available should ransomware hit. Basically, it stops the malware from being able to connect to its host servers.
But shouldn’t the Antivirus do that?
I hear you say, not necessarily. Some malware can circumvent this, and this is where EDR comes in. (Endpoint Detection and Response) As part of the RMM and SOC package, our software provides an exceptional Antivirus that works in conjunction with the SOC and RMM packages to mitigate these security issues.
What about backups?
Along with the above we can install a comprehensive backup which backs up your entire machine to the cloud as an image. Should your machine fail, it gives the ability to restore and even setup a new device should the worst happen.
