Clive’s weekly Cyber Security roundup

The news is a little late this week as I have been on leave.

Just a reminder that there will be Cyber Security News on Smart Thinking all over the holiday period – we’ll keep an eye out for those threats that could impact you. There will also be the regular Octagon round-up on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, but I am not expecting you to read them then – but do play the Wheel of Christmas on Christmas Eve for your chance to be entered in the draw for the Grand Prize, worth more than £750.

This is a weekly round-up of the articles from Smart Thinking Solutions, our specialist cybersecurity, governance and compliance web site.

The articles are mostly quick reads to give you an overview of the cybersecurity threat landscape facing businesses today, with links to the sources. Many of the posts have action points or top tips to help you navigate these threats to your organisations.

Sometimes they are just there to make you smile!

Log4j makes the headlines this week – an unpatched vulnerability in core software that thousands and thousands of apps rely on.
