√-1 8  Σ π – and went back for more!

Yes, it’s π Day again and time to make lots of nerdy maths jokes if you are into that kind of thing.  Personally I find it causes me to make lots of irrational but perfectly rounded plans.

I thought my email password was the last ten digits of π, and then I remembered that whilst π is real, it is also irrational and never-ending, like true love I suppose, so I must have made that up.  In any case, ten digits is an awfully easy password to crack, as shown in the graphic below:

It can never be repeated too often that your password should be long, using upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.  Clive will be writing about this again on SmartThinking.Solutions this week.

Another thought – an opinion without π is an onion, and of course we all know about The Onion, America’s finest news source.  Today it has an interesting article about President Biden – Biden Provides Nuclear Codes To Scammer Pretending To Be Pentagon (theonion.com), which gives a few pointers about what to look out for in a scam email.

So how about that – nerdy maths, password tips and hints and a social engineering warning all in one post!
