A Geek Mother’s Day – Ten presents for the Geek in your Mum

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I thought I would make some suggestions for those who need a different present to flowers and chocolates for their Mother. Even if nothing in this article is of use to you, at least look on this blog as a public service announcement and a reminder – Mother’s Day is Sunday 31st March 2019.

Most of the following need no explanations. We will, however, start with chocolate.

Chocolate Game Controller

Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory

I liked this for the unzipped look.

I am not sure if it is bigger on the inside than the outside.

Geek Wisdom: The Sacred Teachings of Nerd Culture

geek wisdom

A collection of quotes from movies, TV, comics, science, the internet etc – such as “Do, or do not – there is no try”, and mini essays about all things “geek”. Of course there is a Kindle edition.

Star Wars and The Big Bang Theory

And for those of you that forgot…

gift tokens

You can gift Amazon, Apple and Google store gift tokens and codes, online for delivery by email to your Mum.

Or if you are visiting your Mum, most supermarkets have a range of gift tokens available and are open late Saturday night and open 10am on Sunday morning. If you live in Scotland you have an advantage, the supermarkets there do not close on Saturday night.

I am, of course, going to follow this blog up with a Father’s Day version, which will include items, suitably highlighted, that I want my children to get me. Which reminds me, if you are a geek Mum then please feel free to share this blog with your children.

I hope this helps someone!

Clive

p.s. I found all of these gifts on Amazon.
